PARAGUAY. (1740 ca.). Wrapper sent to Father Joseph Gonzalez from the Society of Jesus, Attorney of the Paraguay Provinces. On the front manuscript ´Madrid´. At that time the usual route for letters was by land Rome-Madrid-Seville and by sea to Buenos Aires and private courier by land (to the Missions inland Paraguay). On the back closing wafer (stamp) with the inscription IHS, Proposit Generalis Societaciesus. A OUTSTANDING cover of great historical interest even without the date. La ruta habitual de las cartas en esta época era por vía de tierra Roma-Madrid-Sevilla y por vía martítima hasta Buenos Aires y por propio hasta el territorio de Misiones del interior del Paraguay. Al dorso oblea de cierre con las inscripciones IHS, Proposit Generalis Societaciesus. Pese a no tener la fecha se trata de una carta excepcional y de gran interés histórico.
